Thailand reports first A/H1N1 flu death
BANGKOK (Xinhua) — A 47-year-old female patient who died early Saturday has become the country’s first Influenza A/ H1N1 death, Thailand’s Public Health Ministry confirmed Saturday.
The woman, who died around 3:00 a.m. local time Saturday, died not from Influenza A/H1N1 but complications, Public Health Minister Witthaya Kaewparadai told a press conference at 11:00 a.m. local time to brief details on the flu death.
On Saturday, the ministry confirmed some 1209 A /H1N1 case. Of them, over 1100 have recovered, 22 of them, 2 in critical condition, are being treated in hospitals.
