Filipino kids instead of mourning of the tragedy that typhoon ondoy brought them this week, instead they just make themselves fun in the midst of the flood.
On Sept. 26, the Philippine capital Manila and its neighboring provinces suffered one of nature’s worst beating. Typhoon Ondoy, international code name Ketsana, poured more than a month’s worth of rain in six hours, submerging most parts of the bustling metropolis, drowning at least a hundred people as of press time. My prayers to the victims, and may we emerge victorious and live by the lessons of this tragedy.

More video of typhoon “ondoy” here in Metro Manila. Most of the areas affected is Marikina, Antipolo, Pasig and some of the low lands in Metro Manila. None stop rainfall for about 5 hours or less over flowed the rivers that affected the nearby residences of the said places.
The incessant downpour brought by tropical storm ‘Ondoy’ has turned several parts of Metro Manila into a virtual water world.
The rainfall brought by typhoon “Ondoy” to Metro Manila and nearby areas in a span of six hours on Saturday was the most in recorded history, surpassing the previous record for the metropolis in 1967, a weather bureau official said. (more…)

MANILA, Philippines – With a rosary entwined around her right hand, former President Corazon Aquino continues to fight for her life at the Makati Medical Center, where she has been confined for the past month.
Her only son Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III said yesterday that his deeply spiritual mother called for all her five children the other night, and with youngest daughter Kris serving as her interpreter, relayed to them her final hopes and wishes.
“Take care of each other,” Mrs. Aquino told her five children Ballsy Cruz, Pinky Abellada, Viel Dee, Kris Yap, and himself, according to Senator Aquino. “Each time Kris was able to articulate what she wanted to say, my mother would nod”.
Though his mother is “stable,” doctors have told the family, “nobody can really say when…,” he said.
The former president was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in March 2008.
Concerns about Mrs. Aquino’s health peaked yesterday as a stream of relatives, including her oldest brother Pedro Cojuangco and youngest brother Jose “Peping” Cojuangco and sister-in-law Maur Aquino Lichauco, as well as other close friends, rushed to her bedside at the Makati Medical Center.
Aquino III said his mother is being fed intravenously, which “was not compatible” with the morphine she has been receiving for her pain. He said adjustments have had to be made in her treatment.
He said his mother is comfortable and responds to the affection of her grandchildren.
“Kris’ son Joshua asked her, ‘Lola, are you okay?’ and she responded by taking his hand,” Aquino III said.
A close family friend, who asked not to be named, said a tear rolled down the former president’s cheek when she whispered to her that she was loved by many.

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Five people were killed and at least 30 injured after a bomb packed with nails and jagged iron blew up across the cathedral where Archbishop Orlando Quevedo was celebrating Mass in Cotabato City yesterday morning.
Cotabato City police director Senior Superintendent Willie Dangane identified four of the dead as Army Sgt. Recillo Collado, Ruby Ramirez, Paolo Kahar and a teenager, Prince Allen Cang-Diaz.
But Lt. Col. Jonathan Ponce, Army 6th Infantry Division spokesman, said one of the dead was not a soldier but a member of the Citizens’ Armed Force Geographical Unit identified as Elmer Noble.
The fifth fatality, a man who was said to be mentally unstable, remained unidentified as of last night. Dangane said the man, who was blown to pieces by the blast, could have caused the bomb to explode prematurely after tinkering with it.
In the Vatican, Pope Benedict XVI deplored the attack.
“While I pray to God for the victims of this ignoble gesture, I raise my voice to condemn yet again the recourse to violence, which is never a worthwhile way to solve existing problems,” the Pope told pilgrims during the Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square. (more…)

Now i can’t tell Michael how much i’m sorry and if he will forgive me ”.Evan Chandler was tape-recorded saying amongst other things, “If I go through with this, I win big-time. There’s no way I lose.
