LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — Michael Jackson’s father told CNN’s Larry King Monday night that he never beat his son or made any mistakes in raising him.
Joe Jackson also said the rumor that he wanted to take the singer’s children on tour as the Jackson 3 was “a bunch of jive.”
Jackson repeated his suspicion that foul play was involved in his son’s death last month, but he conceded he did not know what happened. He said he had been blocked from seeing or talking to his son in the days before his death.
There were indications in the interview with Jackson, who was in Las Vegas, that he was not being included in all of the family’s activities in recent weeks.
When King asked about the findings of the private autopsy — which daughter LaToya Jackson last week said she’s seen — Joe Jackson answered “Well, they have not showed it to me, Larry. I’ll put it like that.”
He also said he did not know where his son’s body has been kept since the memorial service.
“You’d have to ask somebody that knows,” he said. “I don’t know.” (more…)

The Asbury Park Press reports that Alexis Cohen, of Allentown, Pa., was killed early Saturday in Seaside Heights.
Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutors Office says an autopsy indicated she suffered chest, head and abdominal injuries. Mohel says investigators are seeking more information about the collision.
Cohen auditioned in Philadelphia for the popular Fox singing competition in August 2007, and the episode was aired in January 2008. She tried out again during the show’s eighth season.

LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson’s glimmering casket took center stage at the Staples Center, sitting for more than two hours as celebrities memorialized the King of Pop under the watchful eyes of millions. And when the ceremony was over, it was gone.
By law, the golden casket that presumably held Jackson’s body should be exactly where his death certificate says it is: back at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Hollywood Hills cemetery, the site of a private family memorial service held before the Staples ceremony. Los Angeles County records show the cemetery as the temporary location, where it must stay until those records are officially updated. (more…)

MANILA – Filipinos have joined the world in mourning the death and remembering the good and the bad about the King of Pop Michael Jackson, who died Thursday night in California (Friday in Manila) due to cardiac arrest. Former Parañaque City Mayor Joey Marquez is one of those with bad memories about Jackson. The King of Pop’s two-night Manila concert in December 1996 got the comedian-turned-politician into trouble.
At that time, Jackson’s international reputation was already suffering due to his child molestation cases. A Filipino couple who worked in Jackson’s Neverland Ranch even provided damaging statements in support of the accusations.
Thus, other cities thought twice about hosting the concert. (more…)
